20th Annual Warsaw East European Conference 2024. Program already available!

The Centre for East European Studies at the University of Warsaw (Studium Europy Wschodniej UW) invites all interested parties to participate in the ‘Warsaw East European Conference’, an international conference to be held in Warsaw on 1-3 July 2024.

This year marks the 20th anniversary of this prestigious annual conference.

The theme for this edition is ‘How to Deter Russia: Resilience of Ukraine and of the Western Community.’

During the conference, we will discuss the war between Russia and Ukraine and its consequences for the international order. We aim to pay special attention to the evolution of the attitude towards the war of the parties supporting Ukraine, including NATO countries and those in East Asia. We plan to discuss the situation in Russia and Ukraine from military, economic, and social perspectives. We are open to considering other subjects for presentations that broadly reflect the conference’s central theme.

Studium Europy Wschodniej UW zaprasza wszystkich zainteresowanych do udziału w „Warsaw East European Conference”, międzynarodowej konferencji, która odbędzie się w Warszawie w dniach 1-3 lipca 2024 roku.

W tym roku przypada 20. rocznica tej prestiżowej dorocznej konferencji.

Tematem przewodnim tej edycji jest: „Jak odstraszyć Rosję: Odporność Ukrainy i Wspólnoty Zachodniej”.

Podczas konferencji będziemy dyskutować o wojnie między Rosją a Ukrainą i jej konsekwencjach dla porządku międzynarodowego. Szczególną uwagę chcemy zwrócić na ewolucję stosunku do wojny stron wspierających Ukrainę, w tym państw NATO i Azji Wschodniej. Planujemy omówić sytuację w Rosji i na Ukrainie z perspektywy wojskowej, gospodarczej i społecznej. Jesteśmy otwarci na rozważenie innych tematów prezentacji, które szeroko odzwierciedlają główny temat konferencji.
